  • Xerostomia (dry mouth)

    Among the least sedating/anticholinergic; dry mouth is uncommon and mild.

    Mechanism: Antagonism of muscarinic receptors on salivary glands.

    Clinical management: Encourage hydration and salivary substitutes; reinforce caries prevention.
